Greg Penny
グレッグ・ペニーは、グラミー賞（第64回／2022年）ベスト・イマーシブ・オーディオ・アルバム部門ノミネート歴を持つプロデューサー／イマーシブ・ミックスエンジニアであり、JUNO賞（1993年・Best Producer）受賞歴を持つプロデューサーです。また、1995年のBRIT Awards受賞プロジェクトにも携わっています。高品質な音楽制作とイマーシブオーディオ分野で数十年にわたる経験を重ね、世界のリスナーに届く数多くの作品制作に関わってきました。
これまでにエルトン・ジョン、k.d. lang、シェール、ポール・ヤングなどのアルバムをプロデュースし、ハリー・スタイルズ、レディー・ガガ、スティング、ティアーズ・フォー・フィアーズ、ケイティ・ペリー、ザ・ポリス、ノラ・ジョーンズ、そしてシスティーナ礼拝堂でのヴァチカン聖歌隊の録音作品など、多くのアーティストのミキシングを手がけてきました。現在もエルトン・ジョンとの協働を継続しており、近年では『Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy』および『Goodbye Yellow Brick Road』の50周年記念リリースに携わっています。

現在はアメリカと日本を拠点に活動し、音楽制作、イマーシブミキシング、次世代オーディオ体験の開発を行っています。
また、Boombox Globalと連携しながら、Boombox Japan Inc.のCEO、創設者、クリエイティブ・ディレクターも務めています。
Greg Penny is a Grammy-nominated producer and immersive mix engineer (Best Immersive Audio Album, 64th Grammy Awards/2022) and a Juno Award–winning producer (Best Producer, 1993), with additional contributions to Brit Award–winning projects (1995). He brings decades of experience in high-quality music production and immersive audio. Over his career, he has worked with internationally recognized artists across a wide range of musical genres, contributing to recordings and mixes that have reached global audiences.
Greg has produced albums by Elton John, k.d. lang, Cher, and Paul Young, among others, and has mixed works by artists including Harry Styles, Lady Gaga, Sting, Tears for Fears, Katy Perry, The Police, Norah Jones, and The Vatican Choir in the Sistine Chapel. He continues his long-standing collaboration with Elton John, recently contributing to the 50-year anniversary releases of Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy and Elton’s landmark double album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
His recent work centers on immersive formats including Dolby Atmos, Sony 360 Reality Audio, and broader spatial audio approaches. Greg explores how these formats can enhance emotional impact and storytelling in recorded music. His approach balances technical precision with deep respect for artistic intent.
At Saidera Ai Design, Greg serves as a Senior Researcher, offering practical insight from real-world production and immersive mixing. He contributes to research, evaluation, and creative dialogue around spatial audio, acoustics, and future listening environments.
Greg values collaboration among engineers, artists, and technologists, and believes new tools — including AI — should support and expand human creativity.
He divides his time between the United States and Japan, and remains active in music production, immersive mixing, and concept development for next-generation audio experiences.
Greg is also the CEO, Founder, and Creative Director of Boombox Japan Inc., working in coordination with Boombox Global on next-generation immersive music experiences.
